Super purchase. Easily fitted. Others complain about hard to release push in wires, SIMPLE open up the old switch, after all its scrap! Release spring pressure and out they pop. Recomended.

Actually I found the best way to remove the two wires was to prise the back off the switch (doesn't matter if you wreck it). It is then a simple matter of removing the clips securing the wires and pulling them out intact. This way, there is no danger of damaging the solder tags on the ends of the wires, which are useful when refitting. To refit, simply push the wires into the appropriate holes in the new switch and they will latch. Same for the capacitor.

The way I removed the wire from the old switch was to push a pin into the hole beside the wire and pull. The wires are held inside the switch by a simple spring mechanism!

on the new switch it has two scews for the power wires, but only four holes with metal behind two for the capacitor whic I managed to put in but it is impossible to push in the two black wires from the mower plug.
by reetpetite - 09 February 2011
Hi again reetpetite, the four holes without screws have a clasp mechanism inside them; the wires from the mower plug retainer pin should slot in and fix in to place. If they don't, the switch might be defective.

Hi there, to wire in the new switch, simply loosen the two screws, put the wires in the corresponding holes, and tighten the screws back up.

Would I need to purchase the lower and upper housing for this part or is it included?
by Watty1 - 19 October 2009
The part listed is just the switch, you will need to individually buy the other parts.
