RCD Safety Plug

Protect yourself from electric shock with the RCD Safety Plug. For use with all electrical appliances in and around the house. Simply plug the safety plug into the socket and then plug your appliance into the RCD safety plug.

RCD adaptors are the simplest way of power protection for in and around the home. They are ideal for lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, or any portable power tool. Ideally you would use an RCD adaptor with any electrical appliance.

Will this protect me from shock if I cut through a cable

Q: I've just bought an electric hedge trimmer and I'm worried about cutting through the cable. If I use one of these will I be protected from electric shock if I chop the wire?

A: These RCD are the most saftey concerns for a lot of people and it will definately stop you getting an electric shock as they trip out in a mill sec. Should be a must for every DIY'er

Hi I want to plug one of these into a waterproof outside socket but can`t find one large enough to fit an RCD?

A: what ai would do if it was me , I would make up a short extension lead say about 9 inches long (225mm) and plug it into that.
