  I am afraid they are not strong enough for the job, putting a few items on the shelves they would bow badly. To date it has not broken but it looks like it will. I think it should be supplied with a front edge strip to help support it.

  easy to cut with normal saw (10 mins) - covered with protective film that avoids scratches & dirt while you do this. Slight bowing when installed if put heavy objects (eg bottles) on it.
