I need to purchase a part for this despencer, the part that holds the rinse cover closed has come off and I need to replace it is this possible or do I have to purchase the whole unit.
- The whole deispenser has to be replaced and that is an easy process

Hi Sliema65, I'm afraid you can only buy this dispenser as a whole part.
whirlpool dishwasher fills with water the pump starts, but the tablet door does not release, the washer try's 5 times then switches its self to stand by . it will do this 5-10 times then the next try the door opens and the tablet drops first go and a full wash cycle happens.

The tablet dispenser does not 'tell' the control board that the tablet has released so even if it does not dispense it would not stop a cycle.
