I replaced the heating element in my oven a couple of days ago and all seemed ok. (the old element died a week ago and I bought the element from eSpares.) Any ideas what could be wrong?

    If the oven is overheating then it is likely to be the thermostat.

To fit Hotpoint BD32B main oven. The oven has a top oven and the part I ordered previously wasn't long enough to fit

    We do not have dimensions of the capillary but can confirm this part fits a BD32B oven.

the hob is working alright but looks like there is no power to oven ,will it be the thermostat needs to be changed

When I turn it off at the main switch, the RCD on the consumer unit trips. Both top oven and main oven neon lights come on as well, but all knobs are off. Looks like a big failure, but any ideas on a fix?

    Check the terminal connection box at the back of the oven as these often have links between terminals. If the screws are a little loose they can burn and give poor connections that can cause 'random' faults that link to a common cause.
