I opted for an original part rather than a copy and do not know whether this will pay off ( the original is many times more expensive than the copy so I hope so!!), only time will tell. However, what I would like to comment on is the really speedy delivery and communication from Espares. i was kept fully abreast of the status of expected delivery time, which was spot on. I will definitely use Espares again and will have no hesitaion in recommending them. First class, thank you

Our oven was beginning to take a long time to get up to working temperature, so I decided to replace the heater element with one of these. This ia a good, solid-quality product. Now installed and the oven is back to full working order.

  • Q I've seen advice on other forums that suggests the existing earth wire should be connected to the fixing screws? Is that not necessary? 1 Answer

    by Anonymous - 03 November 2011

    • A

This is not necessary as the oven body is earthed. I just covered the existing earth wire and tucked it down the back of the oven.

  • Q Hi , my old element has a earth connector on it but my new element hasnt can i still use the new one and were do i put the earth connector on the oven 1 Answer

can i secure the earth wire to anything our can i just push it away

Hi Colin, The element will earth through the m,ounting screws as long as they are tight and they screw into the main body (metal & earthed) of the oven. It always best to secure the earth cable if you are not going to use, so that it doesn't touch anything that it shouldn't. Good Luck
