A "revamped" version of the classic Baby
Belling oven has been revealed by its manufacturer.
Although it keeps the hob and electric grill, the 121R and 321R models finish with radiant rings and come equipped with fast-heating hotplates instead.
The handle of the oven, which was first introduced to the market in 1972, has also been redesigned and the control knobs are easier to grip,
Belling said.
More versatility comes with the 121R's plug-in functionality, the company added. This means it can be moved around a kitchen or transported should the owner buy a new house.
Spokesperson Jane Rylands explained: "Although we wanted to update the model, we were careful to retain the key features and characteristics which people know and love."
She went on to say that the company is confident the new Baby
Belling will find a new generation of fans.
This week also saw another announcement from the manufacturer - the launch of the Blackout Double Electric Oven.
