The current economic climate means more people are opting for smaller homes, but one expert has advised this does not mean a kitchen refit should be expensive.
The Associated Press' Josh Hoffner states that he, like many other people, has had to fix up his kitchen on a budget.
He states ensuring the right appliances are bought in the first place can help, but adds that those who cannot afford new ones need not suffer from an outdated kitchen.
However, it is noted that regardless of kitchen size, a dishwasher is a modern essential and some models are small enough to be squeezed into the tightest of spaces.
"So for all the studio apartment owners out there in the world, do not despair - you can improve your bleak situation with very little work," he concludes.
His comments could inspire some consumers to consider upgrading their new property with
