Microwave steaming 'the healthy choice'
Those looking for Whirlpool spares or other microwave parts may be interested to hear about the manufacturer's latest innovations.

Commenting on the launch of its JetChef JT 369 model, the company has said that microwave cooking can not only be healthy and convenient, it also helps people to cope with their otherwise "hectic lifestyles".

It states that by incorporating its 6th Sense Steam technology, which also features on some of its tumble dryer parts, the microwave allows for a cooking solution that "will satisfy the health conscious".

In addition the JetChef JT 369 boasts an "intelligent humidity sensor that measures conditions in the oven and adjusts the power and temperature accordingly" as well as Whirlpool's own CRISP system.

However, those looking to make the most of their existing appliance with microwave spares could heed recent cooking advice from Associated Press food editor J M Hirsch.

Mr Hirsch said in a recent post for the Reading Eagle website steaming food in the microwave can be as simple as tossing vegetables "with a splash of water and seasonings" before cooking for "a couple minutes".
