Modern consumers are embracing the message that products should be eco-friendly but are not compromising on design, one expert suggests.
Apropos Tectonic (AT), a company which specialises in sustainable products for home improvement, said people were more educated on such issues than ever before, but added that style was still an important issue.
Jason Pardesi, a spokesman for AT said the green message was getting through and people were looking for items that delivered this while still looking the part.
"[People] are driving themselves to become more eco-friendly and to live more sustainable lives. This really has been a catalyst for the eco-chic revolution of late; people want sustainable style, not just sustainable," he said.
The news may be of interest to those with designer kitchen appliances, who may for example be shopping for
Smeg spares or
dishwasher parts.
AT offers glass and aluminium products that aid architects and developers in the design of creative modern buildings and extensions.
