Shopping for
dishwasher spares or
washing machine parts is one way to save money. However, Lily Allen has taken a different approach, according to reports.
The pop singer, who's hits include Smile, LDN and Alfie, apparently turned to her close friend Camilla al Fayed when the time came to shop kitchen appliances for her new flat.
Digital Spy reports that Camilla was quick to turn to her father, Harrods boss Mohammed al Fayed, who subsequently furnished Allen with a new dishwasher and washing machine at what one source said was "well over half price".
A family friend said: "Lily's flat is lovely, but it helps when you've got friends in high places. When she told Camilla she was moving into her new place she jumped into action," according to the Mirror.
