Philips is set to come back to the small appliance market with a range of new products, it has emerged.

Australian website Current states that the manufacturer will offer a number of products that Philips claim will target the "high-end" market.

It is thought that the 800 Class Aluminium range of small appliances will include toasters, juicers and blenders and will be accompanied by a range of other kitchen items.

"The product range displayed to [Current] today included more models than the aluminium range, including an induction hotplate, stick and full-size blenders, kettles and toasters," the site advised.

In addition it is stated that Philips will offer a fully automated coffee machine later in the year with Philips spokesman and HWI general manager of sales Jeremy Sargeant says it could be in stores by Christmas 2008.

Philips offer a number of products that include audiovisual and healthcare equipment as well as products designed for the home.
