Rescue workers have used a vacuum cleaner to rescue a kitten which had become trapped in a drain.
A pregnant cat in Scotland squeezed herself behind a kitchen sink to give birth leading to one of the newborns becoming lost after just a few hours, the BBC reports.
The cat's owners alerted the fire brigade who rushed to the scene, only to find they were unable to reach the animal.
Fortunately, the broadcaster notes, they decided to use a vacuum cleaner with a sock attached to pull the young feline to safety.
This is not the first time part of a vacuum has been used to rescue a lost loved one.
According to the BBC, last year a hamster called Henry became trapped in a kitchen pipe and - after many hours trying to release him - the RSPCA officer used a vacuum to suck the rodent out.
However, animal owners were warned against using this technique generally, as the officer only used one when it became apparent there was no other way out for Henry.
