A new range of Samsung fridge-freezers have been launched that aim to bring cool design to the kitchen - with the help of Jasper Morrison.
The designer was employed by the manufacturer to work on its J-Series side-by-side refrigerators and claims that the result of is work is an appliance that offers high performance coupled with aesthetic value, Al Bawaba reports.
The news agency states that Mr Morrison, a British-born designer responsible for a number of projects including the TW 2000 Stadtbahn vehicle, believes that style in the home is something that is now key to most people's buying decisions.
"The lounge is not the only room in the house where aesthetics are critical and this is the first refrigerator to meet the design demands of today's style-conscious consumer and bring cool to the kitchen," he said.
Sang Yoon Kim, director of home appliances at Samsung Gulf Electronics, also recently said that Mr Morrison had created a "work of art" in the fridge-freezers and the range won took the Best Product accolade at this year's Brit Insurance Design Awards.
