LG launches new steam washer

16/05/2008
LG has launched a new range of steam washing machines which have a staggering nine kg capacity.

The appliance has been described by one website as a "groundbreaking original", as it takes a 50 per cent larger load than a standard machine.

It also has an A++ rating for efficiency as it uses 35 per cent less water and 21 per cent less energy than an A-rated machine.

By using steam technology LG claims the machine can wash clothes in just 15 minutes and will leave them odour-less and dry.

Simona Allan, LG's marketing manager, told Trusted Reviews: "Today, people naturally want to spend less time doing chores and more time with their families and loved ones. LG's new largest capacity steam washer allows them to do just that."

The price is slightly higher than a standard model, at £599 to £799.

LG has recently released its four cubic foot capacity washer and dryer in two new colours, Bahama blue and emerald green.
