Miele appoints new bosses

Miele has appointed a new national sales executive and human resources (HR) general manager.

The appliances company has employed Jason Nicholas in the sales position for the Australian arm of the company, reports Current.com.au.

Mr Nicholas has previously worked at Honda Australia Motorcycle, where he was an employee for over a decade.

In addition, Alma Talic, will take up the post of HR general manager, having previously worked for Coles Myer.

Michael Jeanes, managing director of Miele, told the website: "With the support of Alma and Jason, we can continue to successfully grow our business as an effective centrally-managed but locally-driven operation."

He added that the company is aimed to reach a turnover of over $450 million (£215 million) in the next two years.

Miele has recently topped the Australian International Design Awards, having four products as finalists in the annual ceremony.

Included on the list were its Telescopic Island Cooker Hood and the Medicair Vacuum.
