Dyson vacuum described as "awesome"

16/04/2008
Dyson's DC24 vacuum cleaner has been described as "awesome" and a "significant" improvement on the company's existing models.

The machine is a lighter version of its predecessor and uses Dyson's ball technology to allow more flexible movement, reports Switched.

When moving from one floor surface to another the machine was particularly recommended, as it seemed to have "virtually the same suction power", said the website.

In addition, the model is smaller than other cleaners, meaning it can be tucked away in compact storage areas.

The testers on Switched liked the new technology, which means that the vacuum moves on one central ball, rather than four fixed wheels.

It was described as "rather revolutionary" and even as "fun", with the website saying users will look forward to cleaning their homes with this machine.

Dyson is due to launch a handheld pet hair vacuum cleaner, following on from its three full-size models which cater for animal hair.
