Sharp releases 'most versatile' microwave

- 01/04/2008
Sharp has released an upgraded model of its best selling microwave, with a new design and functionality.

The R340M features eight one-touch instant menus for cooking and reheating, in addition to a wide turntable and an express defrost key, reports Scoop.

Sharp's upgrade of the R340H model also has the safety feature of a child lock, meaning no small fingers can operate the oven.

Branded as "one of the most versatile microwave ovens available", it also has the ability to be free standing or wall mounted

The previous model was a best-seller in New Zealand and the website predicts this one will be equally as prevalent in homes around the country.

It has "the latest in cooking technology without compromising on design, quality or style," according to Scoop.

Whirlpool recently released a new microwave which has a "retro look", so much so that it has been likened to a 70s TV.

The appliance has modern features, whilst retaining a quirky appearance.
