The Good Housekeeping Research Institute (GHRI) has identified its new and innovative appliances, including a cordless vacuum.
Dirt Devil's Kruz Stick Vac performed well in the institute's testing, picking up 97 per cent of the dirt on hard surfaces, reports KomoTV.
Carolyn Forte, the GHRI's home care director, said: "One of the things that we really like about it is how easily it manoeuvres front and back, side to side and then if you do have to leave it, just let it stand up on its own."
"You don't have to lean it up against a wall; it's not going to fall down," she added on the website.
Ms Forte stated that the machine was also "sleek looking" and has "got a great design".
The GHRI also identified the Tromm Dryer with FlowSense from LG as a good new product.
A safety feature, which alerts the user to a blocked vent, particularly impressed the testers.
The website has previously advised that checking a tumble dryer's vent should be part of the annual spring clean.
