Whirlpool's new fridge 'ideal for families'
28/03/2008
Whirlpool's latest high-tech fridge will be popular with children and families, according to one source.
The Amana Jot fridge has a built in dry-eraser board, which has been developed with Crayola, to enable users to draw all over the appliance, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Both blue and black markers can be used on the fridge with it having an easy wipe-off function.
The newspaper believes it is the first appliance to feature this type of technology.
In addition to the quirky new feature, the fridge also has dual temperature controls, glass shelves and a gallon door storage.
The usability for families will come as a welcome change from stainless stell fridges, which tend to show children's sticky finger marks very easy, says the newspaper.
Whirlpool has recently seen success with its CentralPark fridge, which has the ability to dock an iPod, digital photo frame or computer, with an organiser.
