
A spokesperson from Samsung has revealed that the company is looking to achieve 1.2 trillion sales of built-in house-hold appliances by 2012.
Speaking about the company's progress on a global scale, a spokesperson for Samsung said that this target would be achieved via "customer-focused strategic products", reports the Korea Times.
The news comes as the company releases a number of built-in products.
Samsung has recently launched two new freezers, one of which is the Smart True Built In dual door product which can provide a constant humidity, and a cooker.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it was launching a "new cooking concept in the UK".
The Guiding Light microwave system uses a "unique illumination system" to take consumers through a four-step system to help people cook their food "perfectly".
Samsung project manager Gary Hearns commented at the time the system "which will make cooking easier for a range of people from busy professionals, working families to students leaving home for the first time".
