Whirlpool's new Centralpark fridge is one of their favourite upcoming high-tech appliances.
The Good Housekeeping Research Institute (GHRI) was impressed by the Gold fridge's capacity to accommodate electronic appliances, reports wjactv.com.
Sharon Franke from the institute, said: "It's set up to hold thousands of pictures. You can put your SD card from your camera into the frame or you can send them wirelessly."
The fast fill water dispenser feature also appealed to the product testers, Ms Franke added.
Also commended by the company was the Dirt Devil KRUZ Stick Vac, which was particularly praised for its triangular head for reaching into corners.
Carolyn Forte, Home Care Director for the GHRI, told the website: "First, it's got a great, sleek-looking design. It manoeuvres easily from front to back and side to side. And then if you do have to leave it, just let it stand up on its own."
The institute added that the vacuum performed better than other cleaners in collecting dirt from the floor.
LG's Tromm dryer was also commended for its technology which alerts the user when the vent needs cleaning, something the GHRI identified as a key safety feature, said the website.
The GHRI is part of the Good Housekeeping Magazine and tests a wide range of products for the home.
