Bosch has used the International Builders Show in America to showcase its new range of laundry appliances, reports a source.
A main feature on the new Nexxt laundry line is the ecological option, says This Week is Consumer Electronics (TWICE).
Bosch states that the 'e' button "decreases the temperature and amount of energy used during the wash cycle by up to 20 percent without affecting cleaning results".
The dryer uses similar technology in its EcoSensor option, which detects moisture levels in the clothes and adjusts the temperature accordingly.
According to the website, Bosch claims these appliances exceed energy rating standards, by being energy and ecologically friendly.
In addition Bosch is also shocasing a 24-inch compact washer in the Axxis range which can be stacked with the matching dryer to save space.
The washer uses technology to adjust the spin speed, number of rinses, soak and spin time depending on the fabric type selection, states the website.
Both machines use touch technology for the controls and have a capacity of 3.4 cubic feet.
The Bosch Siemens company, an alliance between Robert Bosch and Siemens, is soon set to overtake Electrolux as the world's largest appliance manufacturer, reports Bloomberg.
