Allow the engine to reach running temperature and set the throttle to idle. |

Turn the idle mixture screw - located on the carburettor - clockwise slowly until the engine speed begins to decrease. |

Turn the idle mixture screw anti-clockwise slowly until the engine speed, after increasing, begins to decrease again. |

Count the turns and position the screw mid-way between the two points. |
