2004 Creda Aspire Solarplus. Model 48906

I have the above oven which I have owned from new main oven has always had a tendency to burn food even when I set thermostat 20C degrees below the recommended cooking temperate for a fan oven. The other day I bought a over thermometer and set the oven to 130C and watched the thermometer. It rose gradually to 130C and then carried on going up to 160. What is the likely resolution. Please note that even the hotplates are difficult to set on the cooker, particularly when you want a low setting for simmering. Any ideas?

Oven thermostats are often up to 20 % out you can either replace the thermostat for a new one that may be more accurate or now you can identify the temperature put markers on your control for regular setting.
