How long should it last???
I bought this part on October 2010 and exactly the same has happened - the spring has snapped! This time I have the pin, but reading other questions you can't buy just the spring - sure the part should last longer than 3 years!?!

This is a genuine manufacturers part and is likely to last the same time as the original. The life span of this may be reduced if the door is allowed to slam or if the door is slightly out of alignment.
