What is the difference between a Carbon Filter & Grease Filter?

  • You generaly have carbon filters on recycleing extractors as the are designed to neatralise the cooking smells and stop grease. where as a grease filter is fitted to cooker hoods that extract to outside where cooking smells are not a problem as they are pumped outside and all it needs to do is stop the grease from gumming up you fan.
