- Sadly as Caitlin says the chrome finish on the knobs soon cracks, splits and flakes off. One thing I found helped them last longer was to regularly swap the position the knobs are on the cooker, the only one that you cannot do this with is the oven control knob.
- I have found the fan on the back of the cooker blocked up. This fan helps to deflect heat from the knobs so clean the fan before replacing the knobs to prevent new knob melting.

These knobs should not melt but there are a couple customers who have advised that the chrome flakes off after a couple months and should be of better quality for a genuine replacement
