I have a White Knight gas tumble drier and the drum will not turn. It is not the drive belt but the drum seems to have dropped and is rubbing underneath. Could this be the front or small bearings within the drum?

The machine is quite old and is a BG431/1

Hi Trev, it sounds as if it may be the springs or drum supports which hold the drum in place that have gone. The fact that the drum is not suspended inside the dryer suggests that the components that were suspending it have failed.
