Is there supposed to be a gasket of some form to seal the bag around it's rim?

The m/c belongs to my neighbour and a relative has been using the m/s in the past. The bag does not have any form of sealing at present and when in use the debris flies out of the back of the upper part of the bag. I am wondering if he has lost the seal whilst emptying the bag. I would be grateful for any info on this.

  • The bag has an integral seal. I have just purchased a replacement bag and this one has a spring loaded catch which holds the bag in position. The original had a flimsy catch which when in use, the pressure in the bag caused the bag to move away from the seal. This new bag and clip holds it in position. Hope this helps.
