this model does not appear to have the same type of electrical fitting. The pump I have just removed is a Askoll Mod.M221?

If the pump physically fits it can be a suitable replacement but may require the motor connections to be replaced. The connections are standard 'spade' type terminals available from motor accessory suppliers. It may be possible to slice open the original connector to access these connectors.
