Does my Bosch washer need new brushes or a new pump?
My Bosch WFL2872GB/07 machine keeps stopping mid cycle, before the spin and drain stage. The drum does turn when the wash part of the cycle is in progress and I have checked for blockages (there are none). When I turn the dial to any of the wash cycles it works but stops before draining. If I turn the dial to RINSE, SPIN or DRAIN it doesn't do anything, just makes a low grumbling noise. Does it need a new pump or a set of new brushes? The machine is circa 7 years old.

If the machine does not empty check for a blockage in the pump filter stopping the pump from turning. See our diagnosis articles in the Advice centre for more details.
