How to Replace the Control Knob on a Tumble Dryer - Bosch

If the control knob on your tumble dryer is damaged, isn't clicking when you turn it, or simply isn't working properly, the problem will lie with either the control knob itself, the control knob spacer or possibly the control module. In this article, we're going to show you how to replace all three of these parts to get your appliance back in action once more.

For this particular guide, we'll be using a Bosch tumble dryer. However, this process should generally be the same for most tumble dryer makes and models.

What you will need:

Finding your model number

Whichever parts need replacing, it's important to know your tumble dryer's model number. This number will help ensure you buy the correct parts for your particular model of appliance. The model number is usually displayed on a sticker or data plate located behind the door frame or behind the filter flap at the bottom of the appliance, and it will likely be a combination of letters and numbers. It could also include characters such as a dash (-) or a slash (/).
