If your vacuum cleaner filters are blocked you won't be getting the level of cleaning suction that you could from your vacuum cleaner. We recommend following the instructions your vacuum's manufacturer provides on how frequently you should wash or replace the filters in your cleaner.
In this video eSpares Helen demonstrates how to fit the post-motor and HEPA filter on a Vax VEC-21 vacuum cleaner.
Hi, I'm Helen from eSpares.
I'm going to show you how to change the filters on this Vax VEC-21 Pet Essentials. It has two filters, which are both included in this filter kit, there is the post-motor filter and the central HEPA filter with its fibre sleeve and mesh shroud.
I'm going to start with the post-motor filter, which is on the back here, I'm going to remove the cover, take out the holder, pop the filter out and put the new one in. Then I just have to replace the holder and the cover.
Now for the HEPA filter.
Turn the machine round, I need to open this lid by pressing in these two buttons. Remove the dust container, I want to remove this lid and this is where it starts to get messy. Now I want to remove the mesh shroud by twisting and pulling, and the same with the HEPA filter. Then I just pop the new ones in making sure the edges line up, and the mesh shroud, and then I need to put it all back together.
There we go, filter kits for hundreds of makes and models are available on the eSpares website.
Thanks for watching.
