Hi, I’m Helen from eSpares. I’m going to show you how to replace a drum lifter in this Hotpoint washing machine.

Always ensure that you buy the correct drum lifter for your model; in this case I’m going to be using drum lifter version three.

Always remember to switch the power off at the mains before you start work.

To remove the old drum lifter I need to press down the metal tab under the third hole. You can use a small screwdriver, I’m going to use a torx key. So just push down the tab and pull the lifter forward and it comes away.  Here you can see the metal tab that I had to push down. Now we need to put in the new drum lifter. We need to make sure that the three pips are at the front and we need to line up these bits with the holes. So we just pop it in and slide it back. There you go, thanks for watching.
