Hi, I’m Helen from eSpares.
It’s easy to snap the switchbox levers on a Flymo lawnmower when you’re lifting it in and out of the shed, so I’m going to show you how to replace them. Obviously, before starting this repair make sure that your lawnmower is unplugged.
All you need to complete the job is a torx head screwdriver, you can get a full set of these on the eSpares website.
I’m going to start by removing the two screws that hold the switchbox to the handle. Now I can remove the switchbox from the handle and I need to remove these two screws to open up the switchbox. When you open up the switchbox you can actually see how it works. The whole switchbox is replaceable but I’m just going to replace the levers. If your old levers have springs you can just discard these as the new levers won’t require them. The levers can go in either way around and they just slot into place.
Now we just need to put the switchbox back together. There you go, thanks for watching.
